Last Stop Official anomaly scanner

A paid in-game helper for Normal. It does not exist on the five-minute clock.

Anomaly Scanner

The Anomaly Scanner is the only first-party “script-like” tool in Last Stop. It lives in the Store, and the experience description states it is only available in Normal mode. That sentence is the whole policy. If a loadstring claims to be “the scanner but for Speedrun,” it is third-party. Read script safety and keep this page for the official item.

How to equip it

  1. Join the official place from official links.
  2. Open the Store in the lobby before you commit to a mode.
  3. Buy or equip Anomaly Scanner.
  4. Start Normal. Do not start Speedrun or expect the tool to follow you.
  5. In a cart, trigger the scanner UI after your own glance, not instead of it.

If the button is missing, you are in the wrong mode, the wrong place copy, or an outdated client. Check patch notes. The unrestricted under-17 place may differ; confirm in that lobby rather than assuming.

What it is good at

The scanner is a second opinion for undecidable cars — the B-tier poster text and crate contents described on hard anomalies. It is also a confidence tool when you are on a Cart 8 streak and your brain is lying.

It is not a replacement for:

  • Headphones (whispers, PA, choir)
  • Reading Next Cart versus TURN BACK
  • Threshold extra bodies
  • A Cart 20 baseline from getting started

If the scanner is silent and your six-point scan from how to spot anomalies is clean, go forward. If the scanner pings and you see nothing, turn back and review later. Trusting a ping you cannot name still keeps the streak alive, which is the walkthrough goal.

What it is bad at

  • Speedrun (disabled)
  • Teaching. People who scanner-every-cart never learn easy anomalies and then fail the clock.
  • Audio-only tells.
  • Being a codes equivalent. It does not grant badges except by helping you play correctly.

Third-party “scanners”

Universal ESP hubs will outline the clown you already know is there. Last Stop needs a diff, not a radar. If you inject a highlighter, you will get noise. If you inject an auto-turn bot, you are no longer playing Last Stop. This wiki will not host auto-win paste.

A simple lighting helper is a different category — fullbright — and it conflicts with darkness entities. Do not stack scanner + fullbright + ESP on your first You Won. That is three crutches and zero skill to transfer.

Fair use recommendation

  • First You Won: no scanner, or scanner only after a 10-second personal scan.
  • 50 Anomalies Spotted: scanner optional in Infinite; naming the tell still required.
  • Speedrunner: no scanner, period. See speedrun.

Buying without wasting a run

Buy in the lobby. Do not open the store while a door is animating. If the purchase UI covers a lighting change, you have already failed the cart. After you own it, play one Infinite lap with scanner off so you still have a baseline, then enable it in Normal when a car is actually undecidable. That is the same discipline as the checklist: a tool you fire every cart stops teaching you. If the store page ever adds a second helper, it will be listed on patch notes and this page together. Until then, scanner plus eyes plus headphones is the whole official kit.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers for Cart 20, Cart 0, and the speedrun clock.

Does the anomaly scanner work in Speedrun?

No. The store copy says Normal mode only. The speedrun page assumes you do not have it.

Is the scanner required to beat Last Stop?

No. Plenty of You Won badges predate or ignore it. Follow the walkthrough.

Can I get the scanner with a code?

No codes are active. See codes. Buy it in the store or play without it.

Why did my scanner disappear mid-run?

You likely entered a mode that does not allow it, or you joined a copy place. Use official links.
